Going forward, NYCEDC has made it clear they have begun their plan to redevelop both the Empire Outlets and former NY Wheel sites.

Per their website, Environmental Review will start late 2026, and in 2027 they will begin and complete the ULURP process.

Right now is the time to demand that the community be given legal protections from further misuse and repeat mistakes.
